Previous service & maintenance experience
Provision of service to commercial premises
Use of PC and associated software
Building Services background
BMS knowledge desirable
Minor fabric and plumbing works will be required
Good organisational & communication skills
Our client is seeking an electrically biased building services engineer to be based on a static site in Cardiff. The role will be responsible for reactive and PPM maintenance to a wide range of plant and associated electrical equipment along with requirement to carry out other basic maintenance duties such as plumbing and fabric related maintenance.
Ideal candidates must hold electrical qualifications and must be able to demonstrate mechanical knowledge. Candidates will need to have some flexibility as there will be a requirement to work a late shift (14:00 – 22:00) one week in four, which coincides with on call rota - standby allowance, lieu days & overtime paid accordingly.
Ensure site compliance with local legislations and provide planned and reactive maintenance to site assets. This will incorporate lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safety systems e.g., AHU’s, FCU’s, filter cleaning and changes, Pumps, Motors, Bearings, water hygiene including descaling, temp checks, leak testing, plant room checks alongside general maintenance
Build close working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery above expectations.
Provide support and assistance to Site Supervisor with all aspects of the contract delivery, manage key suppliers to ensure a professional delivery is achieved and all works are conducted professionally.
Assist on site staff as required
To manage, maintain and update the company documentation as required
To assist with the day to day running of all facilities activities
Tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers, staff and suppliers
Ability to work under pressure and support the team respectively
Annual Basic Salary £26,000 - £29,000 (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) for a 40 hour week, 25 days holiday, specialist tools provided. 1 in 4 callout rota plus £100 standby allowance + overtime.
