Position - Electrical Engineer Location - Staines Reporting to - Contracts Manager Desired Experience & or Qualifications •Educated to a minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in a building services discipline. •IOSH/NEBOSH managing safely •ILM 2/3 or similar qualification in team leading. •At least two years at a similar level or equivalent. •Demonstrable knowledge of the operation of Mechanical & Electrical Services and applicable trade and statutory standards that apply to their operation •Has been or is an Authorized person for a safe system of work •Ability to interrogate and operate open protocol BMS’s •Knowledge of current technical standards in relation to Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, Electrical Services, HVAC and Water Systems Treatment. •Knowledge of business critical services i.e UPS and Comms Rooms etc. •Knowledge of Lifts and associated services •Working knowledge of common Microsoft software; word, excel and outlook. •Experience of using or working with a CAFM system and PDA’s Typical Duties Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work on a static site in Staines. The role will be responsible for effectively managing and implementing the day-to-day operation of the site maintenance and supply partners support to ensure efficient operation of both Mechanical and Electrical services across the site. This role encompasses a broad scope including supervision of maintenance, repairs and installation works in a safe manner, to industry best practice standards and contracted requirements, promoting high standards of customer care & consideration. •Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with Company rules and safe systems of work. •Supervise the timely completion of planned tasks by supply partners to ensure that they are completed within the earliest start and latest finish dates •Manage and prioritize reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved. •Review completed PPM’s and ensure action items and observations are followed up. •Provide support to the mobile maintenance engineers to assist with the resolution of technical issues. •Ensure record keeping including logbooks are up to date for all compliance activities relevant to the site •Support the call out Rota and for out of hours working. •Act as first point of escalation for out of hours calls •Organize specialist subcontractor attendances and ensure consistent quality of output •Carry out a weekly and monthly quality and compliance checks to the works undertaken and records completed. •Advise the Contract Manager regarding any holiday/absence/training cover arrangements required. •Work on aiding first fix completion percentages and response times to reactive requests. •Prepare quotes for additional works arising from maintenance and repair activities, detailing work, parts and labour necessary. •Ensure costs associated with the works are consistently managed to ensure wastage and non-productive time are minimized and are in line with the costs allowed in a weekly/monthly cost plan where provided. •Review call data with the helpdesk and contracts manager to develop actions to continually support improvement in KPI’s •Undertake tool box talks and equipment checks and identified in the annual program. •Actively promote Company values when dealing with teams and customers alike. Remuneration Package Annual salary up to £36,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, specialist tools and PPE.
