Position - Fabric Maintenance Operative Location - Cardiff Reporting to - Contract Manager Desired Experience & or Qualifications  At least one trade qualification (carpentry/plumbing etc)  Multi trade background, with ability to carry out fabric and plumbing repairs  Building Services/Facilities Management background  Experience of working within a client facing role Typical Duties Our client is seeking a qualified multi-trade fabric engineer with planned and reactive maintenance experience within a building services/FM environment, to work on a static site in the Cardiff Bay region.  Duties will include the planned and reactive maintenance repairs to a range of items which may include (but not limited to) manual doors, internal & external flooring, internal walls, tiling, guttering, brickwork and plumbing, joinery (door locks, rehanging, furniture repairs) painting & decorating, plastering, tiling etc.  The role may also include basic electrical & mechanical repairs (re-lamping, filter changes, minor A/C leaks etc).  You will need to be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.  You will need to have excellent communication skills at all levels, be competent in the completion of statutory paperwork, and be happy to work unsupervised.  You will need to be well presented and deliver excellent customer service as this is a client facing role, to ensure excellent client relationships are sustained.  Requirement to support other Engineers in the region, as and when required, and liaise with other members of direct and indirect staff to carry out duties effectively and with minimal disruption. Annual Basic Salary £20,000 - £24,000 per annum (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) based on a 40hr week, company pension, 28 days holiday, specialist tools & PPE.
