Position - Lead Engineer Location - Corsham Reporting to - Building Operations Supervisor Essential / Desirable Skills •Technically qualified as an Engineer. (City & Guilds 236 / 2330, HNC etc) •18th Edition Wiring Regulations •Previous supervisory experience •HV AP 15 Would be advantageous •Critical Services Experience •Good technical & administrative skills •Good interpersonal and communication skills. The Role Our client is currently seeking a Lead Engineer to work on a prestigious site in the Corsham area. The role will oversee a team of electrically biased engineers and will be responsible for critical maintenance of the site's M&E services. The role will require supervision and co-ordination of day to day maintenance and repair of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing & HVAC etc are completed within established time frames and to quality standards. This is a shift role which will operate on a continental shift pattern, 12 hour days/nights. Key Tasks: •To manage and monitor the work and performance of the Engineering Team, ensuring that performance levels are maintained to deliver both excellent service to the client and also to meet the required contract KPIs based around practical operations performance •Maintaining and keeping in good repair, the buildings mechanical & electrical systems. •Routine tests, checks and record keeping for all the buildings systems •Maintain water systems and all records to the highest standard in accordance with L8 Legislation. •Undertake regular walk-rounds of client areas and plant rooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain Plant rooms in a clean, tidy and safe condition. •Maintain safe and effective working environment. •Manage sub contractors attending site to carry out specialist service and project works not within the remit of business. •Managing the sub contractor whilst on site to be working safely, to their method statements, with permits to work and management of specialist tools and equipment etc. •Provide leadership to the resident and sub contract teams to achieve a consistent professional service delivery to the client. •To monitor and adjust as deemed necessary, the building management systems (BMS) to control the buildings HVAC to optimal levels of efficiency. •Manage, rectify and record defects through the Help Desk to ensure all are rectified within SLA Timeframes. •Keep the National Supervisor and Account Manager briefed on all issues and progress. Desired Experience & Attributes •Good knowledge and understanding of H&S practices and procedures. •Good technical knowledge of building services systems and plant. •Knowledge of BMS systems •Knowledge and understanding of working in a critical services environment •Chiller and CRAC Unit knowledge •Knowledge of Generators and UPS. •Knowledge of DC Electrical systems •DC Electrics •Aptitude Takes ownership of issues and ensures completion. •Able to organise and manage own work load •Good interpersonal skills. •Good customer service understanding and skills. •Self motivated with drive to exceptional service •Risk averse Remuneration Package Annual Basic Salary up to £41,000 (subject to skills, qualifications and experience), 28 days holiday, PPE, mobile phone, pension and healthcare.
