Position - M&E Supervisor
Location - Swansea
Reporting to - Contract Manager
Desired Experience & or Qualifications
•Qualified as an electrical or mechanical engineer (City & Guilds 236 / 2330 / NVQ Level 3 in Heating etc)
•Previous Supervisory experience
•FM / Building Services experience
•Knowledge of lone working requirements
•Risk Assessment trained
•Full driving licence
Our client is seeking an experienced M&E Supervisor to lead a group of engineers over 4 sites to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, respond to site engineering emergencies and undertake small installation works.
•To be the first line of communication on technical site issues and updates between company & client
•Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements. Includes statutory obligations
•To ensure Engineers are working safely with correct equipment and documentation
•Show diligence in safe working both for themselves and occupants of the premises.
•Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
•Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the and store logbooks are maintained and updated
•Carry out toolbox talks and ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
•Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
•To develop a good working relationship with all members of company and clients staff.
•Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
•Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
•Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
•Responsibility to obtain costs/quotes and request Purchase Orders.
Candidates should be able to:
•Work under pressure
•Be physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
•Able to work at height
•Work occasional weekends (if required)
•Ability to join callout rota
Annual salary £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, company vehicle, tools, PPE and company pension.
