Position - Mechanical Small Works Manager Location - Bristol Reporting to - Director Desired Experience & or Qualifications •NVQ 3 or city and guilds apprenticeship in a mechanical building services discipline •Experience & a good working knowledge of HVAC systems •HNC Building services (Mechanical Bias) •Experience with renewable energies •Working knowledge of electrical systems •SMSTS •CSCS •Commercial Gas qualifications •Full clean driving licence Typical Duties Our client has a great opportunity for a Mechanical Manager to join their growing team to set up and actively manage static/mobile maintenance and reactive teams across a varied portfolio of sites within the south west / south east region. Main Duties will include: •Establish and monitor the operational service levels to ensure contract KPI’s are achieved •Ensure that a consistent level of service delivery is provided across each site within the portfolio •Develop and maintain strong client relationships across the portfolio •Analyse and report any service failures •Ensure all new contract start ups are manned and KPI’s are adhered to •Accurate and timely production of management reports •Management of the work order/Extension process •Monitor and manage Work in Progress to maintain profit levels and adhering to budgets •Ensure timely and accurate submission and payment of financial applications – direct and sub-contract resources •Management of the invoicing process direct and sub-contract/supplier •Sub-contractor management including compliance, performance reviews, training and audits •Grow the profit of the business through sales of new business, including additions to existing business •Accurate and timely submission of estimates utilising the established format •Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and standards •Internal audits of resource management including security vetting procedures, training, communication and adherence to PPM programmes •Develop and coordinate action plans to implement any improvement initiatives •Coordinate any site inspections and audits •Ensure site files are up to date •Ensure compliance reports are completed for each sites as required •Monitoring of work activities to ensure quality is adhered to •Driving best practice across all client contracts •Ensure all staff working across the portfolio have received the required Health & Safety information, instruction and training •Ensure that the standards required by the health and safety policy with regard to the site set up and risk assessments are implemented and monitored, including subcontractors •Ensure employees are trained in health and safety matters •Ensure that the proper procedures are followed for the reporting and recording of all accidents and incidents •Ensure that all properties under their control comply with health and safety legislation •Manage and lead team of mobile/static supervisors and engineers •Regularly review and appraise the performance of staff, providing coaching or training solutions as required •Ensure that all employee related issues are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company policies and procedures Remuneration Package Annual salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) based on a 40 hour week, company vehicle, mobile phone, pension, PPE.
