Position - Project Manager

Reporting to - Head of Projects
Desired Experience & or Qualifications
HNC or equivalent in either a mechanical, electrical or civil discipline.
Previous experience in a project management role.
Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office and Project.
Proven ability to work under pressure.
Demonstrate strong oral, communication and organisational skills.
Prepared to take the initiative to resolve problems creatively and responsibly.
Proven ability in developing solutions and gaining agreement with other people.
Valid UK driving licence.
PRINCE2 accredited. (desirable)
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage projects across the south west region. Candidates will need to hold technical qualifications (electrical, HVAC, A/C etc) and have a technical understanding of other trades/disciplines.
Agreeing project objectives.
Ensuring adherence of health and safety legislation to include site specific rules and policies.
Overseeing project accounting, costing and billing.
Recruiting specialist contractors and sub-contractors.
Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Attending regular site meetings to coordinate and facilitate progress on site.
Organising the supervision of evening and weekend working from the team of existing technical specialists.
Representing the clients and companies interests.
Providing advice on management of projects.
Ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Using IT systems such as Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel and Word to keep track of people, progress and issue reports.
Monitoring of contracts to ensure guidelines are maintained.
Co-ordinating and managing simultaneous projects to meet customer expectations.
Agreeing and delivering against project objectives whilst maintaining focus on budgets.
Maintaining records for internal and external audits.
Ensuring all drawings and plans are passed to the CAD office for updating the site plans and records.
Assisting in the maintenance of the equipment register and planned maintenance system to ensure records are compliant with legislation and meet SLA’s.
Assisting in the generation of the 5 year rolling plan for projects and equipment replacement or repair.
Ensuring all activities are recorded via the helpdesk for audit purposes.
Supporting the site FM team where required.
Annual Basic Salary £55,000 - £65,000 (subject to skills, qualifications and experience) based on a 40 hour week, 25 days holiday, mobile phone, health care.
